I’ve tried a lot and I just want to be able to access my files again. Whenever I plug it in, my laptop recognizes that I’ve plugged in a device with the noise, but there’s no popup saying what device was plugged in or anything asking what to do with the device. Then, after a few days of that, I have been unable to access my files for two or three days now. Then, it would on and off work, sometimes showing up as “Local Disk” though I was unable to access anything and other times not showing up. It use to work very well for a week or two. You can use HFSEXplorer but it requires using JAVA. It is working and I have to wait a lot and then it says ’ Unknown Security State: ff’. But when I use WD Drive Unlock, it doesnt open password page. When I want to use my Wd Passport Ultra, I always use password. In this case, it cannot be open on a Windows PC unless you use third-party software. was good with this hard disk until now but WD Drive Unlock doesnt work today. I’ve tried using a different extension cord that I know works. You can check it by pressing Windows key + R then entering diskmgmt.msc If it is a MAC-formatted drive since you mentioned you've used it on a MAC before, it may have an EFI System Partition on it. I’ve tried unplugging it, restarting, then plugging it back in It does show up in Device Manager and Disk Management, but I can’t access any of the files on My Computer Okay so some information you may want to know:
